By attending this year’s Dublin Twestival you will be helping to raise funds for Special Olympics Ireland. Your proceeds will help in sending 126 Special Olympics Athletes to compete at the top level in their chosen sport at the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games taking place in Athens, Greece. The cost incurred by Special Olympics Ireland to prepare and send the athletes to Athens is in the region of €3,500 per athlete. All funds raised at Twestival will help in alleviating this cost. As the first country to host the Special Olympics World Games outside of North America, Ireland has a very special relationship with Special Olympics. Help us to continue that relationship by supporting Team Ireland as they prepare to compete on the world stage in Greece.
